James & Chao Wanje
James
& Chao Wanje head a Biblical Counseling Center (under the auspices of Campus
Crusade for Christ), based in Nairobi, and aimed at reaching the people of
Kenya. They have two sons, Morris and Francis. They are Kenya natives,
temporarily moving to the United States for education and training, and
returning to Kenya to minister to the people of their homeland. James is
the director of FamilyLife Kenya. Chao holds a Doctorate in Biblical
Counseling and performed her internship at the Central
Arkansas Crisis Pregnancy Center before returning to Kenya. Their MINISTRY
OBJECTIVE is to work with Nairobi churches equipping the saints through:
Ø
training in developing Biblical
counseling ministries with the church;
Ø
organizing and conducting
marriage, parenting, and singles conferences and seminars;
Ø
reaching women in crisis
pregnancies
“In the times we have been in ministry, we have had great
highs and we also have had terrible lows. We cannot begin to tell you how
it feels when we just know that someone out there is thinking of us and
praying for us. There are times when we have been out in the field with
some challenging circumstances and inasmuch as we know that the Lord is
there for and with us, it has been of great comfort to know that He also has
given us those who think of us, pray for us, and support us financially.”
