Pastor Jim Ehrhard
Jim Ehrhard initially came
to the Bible Church of Cabot as our Interim Pastor in 1998. He has served
as a pastor and church planter in Ohio, Indiana, Connecticut, and Arkansas
for over 25 years. In addition to serving as pastor, Jim has also been
involved in teaching colleges and seminaries in Connecticut and Arkansas.
Jim also serves in a ministry called
Teaching Resources International. This organization was begun to
provide theological resources for pastors and missionaries. Since 1997,
Jim has also been involved in teaching in Bible schools and seminaries
overseas through the ministry of Teaching Resources. Through this
ministry, Jim has been able to teach in Russia, France, Belgium, Ukraine,
Bulgaria, Haiti and the Netherlands. Additionally, he edits a quarterly
journal of Puritan resources called Teaching Resources and
occasionally teaches classes at the North Little Rock campus of John Brown
University.
Jim has four children—Joy Drews (who is married to Shain Drews);
Meredith, Joel and Todd. He also has four grandchildren, Ethan Drews and
the triplets, Hailey, Aimee, and Meredith Drews. Jim’s wife of nearly 30
years, Debbie, went to be with the Lord in 2003 after a 12 year battle
with cancer.
Jim’s favorite outlet is sports. Over the last ten years,
coaching basketball and baseball have been one of Jim’s great joys. He
also enjoys playing guitar and just spending time with his family. One
verse that has meant much to Jim over the last few years is
Romans 8:18—"For I reckon
that the sufferings of this present age are not worthy to be compared with
the glory to be revealed in us." His desire is that the people of the
Bible Church would display the glory of God in their daily lives. Jim has
appreciated the love that the people of the Bible Church have for the Word
of God and for the love that they show toward each other.
